Ok Ok…so today was the first day to which I felt a bit of needing home. It was a long day you see, full of classes- art history with our quiz…it went ok, o well. It is nice now to be able to name the paintings and sculptures we are going to be looking at. Then we had lunch, great lentil soup and fruit. Then a long drawing class. It started to rain during lunch so we got out of a Dan hike to an amazing drawing spot and instead worked inside the school. Our task for the day was to draw the inside and outside perspectives and show the clear differences between the two. Its getting pretty intimidating with all the studio art majors, even the other students are doing some neat things…ahh. We then had our second Italian lesson…none of us wanted this today, we were so out of it. We learned how to say why were here, where we’re from, what our name is, order food…that was it. But there was this clear moment in class that showed our culture differences, Our teacher was counting things on her hand and got to the third thing, her middle figure and held it in the air towards us, waving it in the air…we all couldn’t help but giggle…she never caught on…hehe. Anyway during dinner we, as a group claimed the biggest table (one our whole group can sit at) rather than the little 8person spots. Another big storm is rolling in we could hear thunder and see lighting through all the windows as we ate- fun! Now im lying on my bed..need to be reading, both roommates are on skype with their boyfriends…they interesting girls. Kayla is 18…just figured that out, she turns 19 this weekend and is going to be a jr. in urban studies…she graduated high school early. Alicia is an art history major, who’s my age and is very emo. I like them both very much…but its different there not the kind of people I would tell my life story too, there’s just a bit of disconnect there…but o-well. They are really nice and fun and have different view on life, which I love. All right I think I’m gunna go read…field trip tomorrow, Arezzo here we come!
