un giorno di riposo ( a day of rest)

6/8/08

It’s now Sunday…a day of nothing! Woke up at around 10. Sleep finally! And then Kayla and me walked up the hill to town for some bread and tea for breakfast. We went to a new coffee shop, which is always fun to do, and explored what they had to offer. After that it was laundry time, which was a huge ordeal!! You see we leave in the morning for Roma for the week and then depart for the long weekend from there. Meaning that laundry wont get to be done for a while. My roommates and I had to wait for one of the three buckets to be free (3 buckets for the whole school...really? ha) and then we had to try to find a place to hang all of our stuff. Ugh there’s also the loom of rain and possibility that what we have washed won’t dry.. ha.. It’s going to be interesting to see how this unfolds. For lunch we all met at Roggies, a restaurant in town. This was the first place I ate in Italy on that first Sunday morning… I can’t tell you the difference and improvement in my ability and confidence in ordering food, haha. Light-years! I’m now relaxing in the courtyard catching up on posts, watching the turtles walk back and forth, soon to take a nap...pack...clean and finalize my trip plans for the next 8 days. We have a group meeting at 6 tonight to discuss Roma and we’re all so excited. It’s going to a great change of pace. I’m haven’t decide if ill lug around my computer, prob not. So their might not be any post for a week, don’t worry though ill be sure to up date later. After Roma I am planning to meet up with my roommates from Austin in Paris, crazy I know, while the rest of the group is headed to Venice? Haha. Ill be in touch

Ciao Ciao
